“Corallo” Design Tray in Etna lava stone and Caltagirone ceramic

Corallo, the red of Sicilian majolica

The ground is solid red, a colour seen less often than blue in Caltagirone ceramics. Pale blue and sage green leaves twist over it; in the centre there is a floral medallion framed in blue, with two white and gold rosettes at the sides.

The pattern is painted and glazed by hand on Etna lava stone, so the shades of red and blue vary slightly from one tray to the next.

It stands out on the table: use it for a cheese and charcuterie board, for desserts, as a trivet or simply as a centrepiece.
