A 15 cm Caltagirone ceramic pine cone with a rosette-decorated base. Choose the colour: blue or red.
Sold out
The cup-shaped base carries the rosette, a pattern of bands and petals running all the way round, while the scales are glazed in deep blue or red.
In Sicily a pine cone is given as a wish for luck and plenty, and placed at the front door or on the gate pillars. In Caltagirone they have been made in ceramic for centuries, with the scales shaped one by one.
Each pine cone is shaped and painted by hand, so the scales and colours vary a little from piece to piece. It looks good on a shelf, a table or the terrace.
